Eve de Coning (LLB, LLM shipping law, UCT) is a senior advisor with the Norwegian National Advisory Group against Organised Fisheries Crime and IUU Fishing (FFA) at the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. She is based at INTERPOL National Central Bureau Oslo where her day-to-day responsibilities include the coordination of FFA’s NORAD funded operative activities to combat fisheries crime in developing countries in cooperation with INTERPOL Project Scale. In the past she was the project leader of Project Scale and has acted as an advisor to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) on issues pertaining to fisheries crime. She is an active member of both the intelligence and capacity building sub-projects of the INTERPOL Fisheries Crime Working Group.
