JD is an experienced criminal investigator who has spent over 25 years in law enforcement, and a further 8 years as an investigative consultant. He began his career in the South African Police Service and then joined the National Prosecuting Authority, before becoming a private consultant. He has vast experience investigating various criminal matters, including organized international fishery crimes, which he puts to good use by supporting various cases as well as training investigators in how to deal with environmental crime.
